The White Horse is an old coaching inn that has been a pub in the village of Rogate since 16th Century. Located in the South Downs National Park, this old inn is a true gem. It has oak beams, flagstone floors, and a large log fire, making it a cosy and inviting place to spend a winter evening. In the summer, guests can enjoy the sunshine and fresh air on the outdoor terrace. The pub also has a beer garden, which is perfect for families with children.

Meet The Owner
After a successful 10-year stint as a ship broker, Alex Whyte is swapping the hustle and bustle of the City of London for the serenity of Rogate, West Sussex.
For recently married Alex it was love at first sight when he stumbled across The White Horse which had been closed for three years. ‘Immediately I could see the potential of this grand old pub and the beauty of the surrounding area’ Alex said. He then set about purchasing the freehold interest in the property and with the help of a great team he has spent nearly a year bringing the pub back to its former glory. Alex said, ‘it’s a long process but I believe we have re-created a truly rewarding destination enhanced by excellent food, fine beverages and charming, homely brand-new accommodation.’
